Boiler Plus compliant

In April 2018, the Boiler Plus legislation was introduced and has had several impacts on new boiler installations.

Firstly, the minimum energy efficiency of all gas boilers manufactured and installed in England was raised to 92% ErP.

It also mean that time and temperature controls are required for all new boiler installations and that combi boilers require one of the following:

• Weather compensation
• Load compensation
• Flue Gas Heat Recovery
• Smart controls

Types of boilers 

With many different types of boilers available, it can be sometimes difficult to decide which one to go for. these include... 

Combi boilers

These are the most common boilers that people have and are better suited for smaller properties. They are great because they are smaller in size and do not come along with a storage tank.

Regular boilers 

If you are living in a larger home with multiple people, who need hot water at the same time, a regular boiler is a great option for you. You need to have space for this type of boiler because it comes along with a hot water cylinder and a storage tank to feed the cylinder. 

System boilers

This type of boiler works similarly to a regular boiler and the greater thing about this boiler is the fact that it does not come along with a storage tank. You still need space to have the cylinder put in but it does not take as much space as a regular boiler.
